I am Mrs. Thornton. I am married and I have two adult sons. I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Stillman College. I am excited and honored to be your child’s teacher. My love for children and the craft of teaching go hand in hand. Therefore, after working 29 years in the business industry, I retired, so I could fulfill my dream of becoming a teacher. I have been teaching at Jonesboro Elementary for three years and it has been so rewarding. I love witnessing the growth of young people. Being able to nurture, encourage and motivate children to realize they can accomplish whatever their hearts desire is so worthwhile. I look forward to working together with you and your child.
