Hi! My name is Markeithisa Matthews (Coach Matthews). I'm honored to be your child's p.e teacher at Jonesboro Elementary where we will learn/play a lot of fun games and activities to keep them active. The thing that I love most about being a p.e. teacher is that it gives me the opportunity to connect with so many students through playing and learning games/activities that promote their physical, mental, and social well-being. I'm truly blessed to be a team member on Team Jonesboro. 

BIO: 

I was born and raised in Demopolis, AL. I attended school at John Essex High School (K-12). I received my B.S in Health and Physical Education from Stillman College. I was also a member of the Stillman Tigers basketball team. I received my Class B certification from the University of Alabama. I have 10 years of teaching experience. This is my fifth year at Jonesboro. I enjoy attending church, sports, traveling, spending time with my family, listening to music, and shopping.
