Welcome

My name is Jennifer Wilson, and I'm SO EXCITED for our upcoming year of learning and growing with one another! Together, we will become a classroom family. As a family, that means we are on the same team and will support, collaborate with, and encourage each other to be our best! We ARE capable! You can expect my best from me, as I will expect your best from you. I look forward to building relationships that motivate all of us to desire greatness. Get ready for excellence, because that's where we're going! I am THANKFUL to have you and can't wait to begin our journey together! Let's do this!!!

Bio

Alrighty!!! Here's a little bit about me. I grew up in Homewood, Alabama and graduated from Homewood High School. I cheered all throughout middle and high school; I cheered, because I love sports and am most definitely a wee bit competitive! With that being said, I take that competitive attitude to the classroom where I'll be your child's biggest cheerleader and coach. I want all of us to WIN and make big, positive steps of growth in character, self-confidence, and academics.

God has blessed me with two beautiful children; I have a daughter and a son. Of course, my students are my babies as well. Always. In the classroom, I see everything as a Mom first and as a teacher secondly. I am grateful to serve. While being a Mom and a teacher can offer tall orders to fill, the rewards, successes, and relationships attained are gifts that can't be bought.

Let's see! During my free time, I literally just laughed as I typed that, because we rarely have free time, these are a few of my loves. I love spending time with family and friends, eating (Yes, I really like to eat.), being outdoors at the lake or walking trails, going to the movies, simply relaxing and having quiet time (which kinda let's you know my age), and watching SEC football! ROLL TIDE!!!

I have been teaching many, many years; well, I have actually taught some of my former students' babies at this point. That is a huge blessing of which I greatly value. Relationships are everything. And, God has blessed me with some of the BEST! In college, I chose education, because I knew this was an occupation that would allow me the most time at home when the day came that I had my own kids. I STAY in education for my babies (aka my students) and the relationships that pour into me; it's a two-way street.
